Where the mighty Yangtze River slows near Taihu Lake, it gently shapes the fertile plains of northern Zhejiang. Set between mountains and sea, Pinghu is a picturesque Jiangnan city where charm meets serenity in every wisp of morning mist. Known for its rich produce and warm hospitality, Pinghu is a classic water town where canals crisscross fields, and a thousand years of culture quietly flow beneath the surface. The city blends softness and strength, tradition and resilience. This is Jiangnan, but not as you know it. Come to Pinghu and discover a different side of southern China. #ChinaUpClose #ExploreZhejiang

The Summer Palace in Beijing, listed as a #UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1998, is an outstanding expression of the creative art of Chinese landscape garden design, harmoniously integrating the works of humankind and nature. #CivilizationsShine #ChinaSeen It took from 1750 to 1764 to complete the palace's construction, and it was attacked twice since then. The first one was during the Anglo-French allied invasion of 1860, and later during the Yihetuan Movement, in an attack by the eight allied powers in 1900. The garden survived and was rebuilt in 1886 and 1902. ? The culmination of several hundred years of Imperial garden design, the Summer Palace has had a profound influence on subsequent oriental garden art and culture. More than 100 examples of traditional architecture can be found in the park, including pavilions, terraces, temples, pagodas, waterside gazebos, covered corridors, stone bridges and the famous marble boat. #SummerPalace

When people think of caviar, Russia and Iran usually come to mind. But it's actually Quzhou City, east China's Zhejiang Province, that's quietly leading the global scene. For ten years straight, Quzhou has been the world's top caviar exporter. The secret? Precision and speed. From harvesting to washing, draining, grading, curing and packaging – 16 steps completed in just 15 minutes. The final product can land on tables around the world in as little as 48 hours. This isn't just gourmet food. It's a story of craftsmanship, efficiency and shared success. While global consumers indulge in luxury, Chinese fish farmers are building better lives. Would you have ever guessed luxury caviar could trace back to Zhejiang? #ChinaUpClose #ExploreZhejiang
